Afiro Association

IdentityAfiro is a private association whose activities began in 1964, under the impetus of the Vaud Society for Mental Hygiene. Recognized as a public utility, it is subsidized by the State of Vaud for its adapted employment mission, and is a service provider for the disability insurance offices for its rehabilitation and training mission. Active in various fields and regions of the canton of Vaud, it is headquartered in Ecublens. As a social and training enterprise, it employs and trains over 400 people receiving disability insurance benefits (rehabilitation/training measures or pensions), supervised by 80 professionals qualified in their field and in socio-professional support.

MissionAfiro's mission is the social and professional integration of the people it cares for. Through rehabilitation and vocational training, on the one hand, and adapted employment geared towards production, on the other, it offers specialized support tailored to the abilities and needs of each individual. It promotes the development of their identity and their professional project, through the valorization of their potential.

ValuesPutting the human being at the heart of its concerns, and establishing training and work as vectors of personal development and social cohesion, Afiro is committed to fostering the integration, enhancement and evolution of the people it supports, through rewarding activities and tailored, personalized programs.

Activities and partnershipsAfiro researches, develops and produces products in several economic fields, grouped into 3 sectors of activity: food, industrial and service. These include carpentry, textiles, locksmithing, mechanics, printing, laundry, bakery, cooking, catering, logistics, stewardship, advertising and multi-services.

The aim is to offer work and its share of achievement and pride to each person, according to their level of competence. Quality is the order of the day, as evidenced by a number of standards and labels, in order to constantly win the satisfaction of its customers and partners, both social and commercial.

Afiro aims to play a full part in the development of Vaud's economic fabric, relying on local raw materials and traditional know-how to achieve excellence. Afiro is certified Vaud certifié d'ici, and complies with ISO FSSC 22'000, the world's most stringent food safety standard. Quality, safety and product traceability are among the requirements of this standard.
