Tomas is an EPFL engineer in Material Science. During his studies, he encountered the concept of alternative proteins. He directly recognized it could be part of the solution to answer the climate and health challenges we are facing.
After an internship at the newly created Planted Foods, he continued exploring his interest at EPFL. After several iterations, he conceived the idea of producing milkfats using yeast, which is the topic of his Master Thesis he completed in April 2021.
